Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Policy
Upholding NOCAL's SHE policy is the responsibility of every employee, contractor and IOC
Let's be clear...Accidents or environmental disasters in Liberia’s oil sector can do terrible harm to the population of Liberia.
NOCAL has established a Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) department to mitigate this possibility. NOCAL will ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and international standards. Contractors and International Oil Companies (IOCs) operating in Liberia will be expected to meet the same high SHE standards.
Workplace Safety and Health Obligations
NOCAL is dedicated to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for its employees and contractors. To achieve our goal of zero job-related injuries, NOCAL has adopted best practices and measures to ensure:
- Compliance with Liberia’s environment, health and safety laws and regulations
- Open dialogue with employees and IOCs, to improve combined SHE performance
- Appropriate SHE information shared with employees and business partners
- The latest SHE technology made available to employees, contractors and IOCs
NOCAL commits to managing operations in an environmentally sensitive and responsible manner. We also have an obligation to demonstrate environmental leadership by maintaining the highest standards and serving as an example to our international partners and the community at large. Environmental health and safety is the responsibility of every member of the organization.
